G. Marrucci will give a plenary lecture entitled, "Recent Progress in the Theory of Entangled Polymers in Fast Flows," while Steve Granick will speak on "Interfacial Rheology."

Authors wishing to present a paper in Monterey should submit an abstract by May 15, 1998. The preferred medium for submitting the abstract is through the World Wide Web using the SOR abstract submission page. Otherwise abstracts submitted via e-mail or on the abstract form should be sent to the Technical Program chair, P.T. Mather, with a copy to the appropriate symposium chair.
