Hotel reservations are to be made directly with the Westin
Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The rate is $135 per room per night plus taxes.
Please make
sure to identify yourself as an attendee of "The Society of Rheology Annual
Meeting" to ensure conference rates. Room reservations must be
made by January 11, 2001 to guarantee this rate. Any
rooms not taken by this date will be released to prevent the Society from
bearing any penalties.

In addition to the room rate of $135 per night, there is a resort fee of $3.00
(not $10 as you might be told when you book the room). The resort fee
includes free phone access (otherwise, it is $0.75 every time you make a
call), free use of fitness facility, paper, and coffee in the room. Please
make sure that when you check into the hotel, the resort fee is listed as $3.00.
The sales tax is about 10%.
