Location

          The 81st Annual Meeting of The Society of Rheology will be held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin, October 18 to 22, 2009. The meeting is hosted by the Rheology Research Center.

Registration

Conference registration includes access to all technical sessions and the vendor display, program and abstract booklets, and all receptions and coffee breaks. The registration fee does not include the Bingham Award Banquet; see details on the meeting registration page.

On-site registration will be held on Sunday, October 18th, from 6 pm to 9 pm, in the 4th floor Registration Booth area. Registration will continue each day, Monday through Wednesday, 8 am to 4 pm.
 

Industry / Faculty / Student Mixer

The Industry / Faculty / Student Mixer: Industrial Applications of Rheology will be held on Sunday, October 18th, from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Madison Ballroom A of Monona Terrace. The Mixer is sponsored by a generous contribution from the Industrial Outreach Program of the American Institute of Physics.
 

Welcoming Reception

The Welcoming Reception will be held on Sunday, October 18th, from 7 pm to 10 pm in the Grand Terrace - West. The Welcoming Reception is sponsored by a generous contribution from Malvern Instruments.
 

Society Luncheon

All attendees are encouraged to attend the Society Luncheon, to be held on Monday, October 19th, from 12 noon to 1:45 pm in the Grand Terrace. The Society Luncheon is sponsored by The Society of Rheology.
 

Society Reception

The Society Reception will be held in the Grand Terrace on Monday, October 19th, from 7 pm to 9 pm.  The Society Reception is sponsored by the Journal of Rheology.
 

Society Business Meeting

All attendees are encouraged to attend the annual business meeting of The Society of Rheology on Tuesday, October 20th. This meeting will start at approximately 6:10 pm in Section G or J of the Hall of Ideas.
 

Bingham Award Reception and Banquet

The Bingham Award Reception will start at 7 pm on Tuesday, October 20th in Grand Terrace - East . This will be followed by the Bingham Award Banquet at 8 pm in the Madison Ballroom A-B. There is no charge for entry to the reception and tickets for the Banquet can be purchased with the meeting registration (see meeting registration page for details). The Bingham Award Reception is sponsored by a generous contribution from Xpansion Instruments.
 

Poster Session

The poster session and reception will be held from 6:10 pm to 8:10 pm on Wednesday, October 21st in  the Grand Terrace. The reception at the Poster Session is sponsored by a generous contribution from Anton Paar USA.
 

Exhibits

Vendors will demonstrate their products from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Wednesday, in Hall of Ideas, Sections EFHI. Coffee breaks will also be held in the exhibit area. Vendors should contact Local Arrangements Committee Chair (A. Jeffrey Giacomin, University of Wisconsin, 608-262-7473) directly about exhibit space.
